The Cakebread Cabernet is a blend of 83% cabernet sauvignon 9% merlot, 5% cabernet franc, 3% petit verdot. As this begins to open it releases aromas of black cherries and dark currant followed by spices, loam and a savory note. This is full-bodied and layered with a gorgeous plush texture that expands beautifully onto the finish. While this is approachable upon release it will continue to evolve over the course of next decade.
